UK STUDY LAUNCHED TO TACKLE DIABETES COMPLICATION

RESEARCHERS AT CARDIFF MET'S WALES CENTER FOR PODIATRIC STUDIES HAVE LAUNCHED  A STUDY TO DETECT CIRCULATORY PROBLEMS WITH DIABETES. THIS NEW DEVICE, DOPPLEX ABILITY WILL ALLOW A DOCTOR TO DETECT PAD IN FIVE MINUTES, RATHER THAN 30 MINUTES.

PAD (PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL DISEASE) IS A POWERFUL PREDICTOR FOR CORONARY HEART DISEASE CEREBROVASCULAR DISEASE, BUT FOR PEOPLE WITH DIABETES, IT CAN ALSO LEAD TO FOOT ULCERS AND GANGRENE WHICH IN MANY CASES MAY REQUIRE AMPUTATION.  THIS DEVICE IS PORTABLE AND MAY BE A REAL GAME CHANGER.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY DR. JOHN A. HARDY, RETIRED CHIROPRACTOR, OWNER OF ACADEMY FOOT AND ORTHOTIC CLINICS AND STAFF CONSULTANT.
