PODIATRIST STATES THAT TRANSITION INTO SUMMER SHOES CAN CAUSE FOOT PROBLEMS

Podiatrist, Dr. Damien Lucius states, "the most common complaints in the spring and early summer are plantar fasciitis and Achilles pain caused from people going right from shoes with cushions and heels to flip flops and bare feet.  Changing in to summer footwear should be a transition by wearing the flatter shoes for a couple of hours a day over a few weeks. If plantar fasciitis occurs, rolling the foot back and forth over a tennis ball can help resolve it."

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common conditions that we treat at our Toronto Foot Clinic, Academy Foot and Orthotic Clinics.  We are full equipped with all the latest physical therapy equipment including interferential current, ultrasound, low volt, laser, shockwave, myopercussion, active release therapy, mobilization, etc.

If you or a loved one are suffering from any type of foot ailment and require honest, competent advice or quality foot care or custom orthotics, please do not hesitate to contact us at 416-465-8737.
