LIMIT FLIP FLOP USE TO BEACH AND POOL

All of those fun summer activities bring some risk, but it's manageable risk, according to Cleveland Clinic doctors, if you know what to watch for. Do you spend most of the summer flopping around in flip-flops? First, buy flip-flops that fit, so your toes aren't scraping the ground and they need to have some kind of support built into them. And, according to Clinic podiatrist Dr. Joy Rowland, you can't flip-flop your way through the summer.

"Am I dead set against flip-flops? No, (they're) for very limited use though. Wear them to the beach, wear them to the pool, wear them on vacation, but not to walk through big amusement parks for 3 or 4 or 6 hours a day," she said.
