AMERICAN PODIATRIST BECOMES FIRST AMERICAN TO SWIM LOCH NESS

PODIATRIST, DR. MARCY MACDONALD COMPLETED A MONSTER CHALLENGE AT 53 YEARS OF AGE BY BECOMING THE FIRST AMERICAN TO SWIM THE 23 MILES IN 51 DEGREE WATER WITH JUST HER SWIMMING SUIT.  IT TOOK HER 11 HOURS, 59 MINUTES AND 11 SECONDS.  SHE IS AN AMAZING ATHLETE AS SHE HOLDS THE RECORD FOR SWIMMING THE ENGLISH CHANNEL 15 TIMES.

FYI WE HAVE RENTED A 55 FOOT BOAT WHEN SHANNON WAS GOING TO ST. ANDREWS UNIVERSITY AND WE TRAVELLED FROM FORT WILLIAM TO INVERNESS AND PART OF THE TRIP WAS THROUGH LOCH NESS.  WAS APPARENTLY SUPPOSED TO HAVE GOOD FISHING BUT WE GOT SKUNKED ON THAT LAKE.  ALSO LOCH IS SCOTTISH FOR LAKE.  VERY BEAUTIFUL WITH MANY CASTLES ALONG THE WAY.
