Podiatrist, Dr. Perry Julien states, "after running, inspect your feet and look for problems such as blisters. If you have one, clean it well and apply a pad to help cushion and protect the area. Most blisters will heal on their own, but if you have one that doesn't, you can drain it yourself. Most blisters can be drained, but they have to be drained appropriately.  First clean the skin, and use a clean, sterile needle to drain the blister. Cover it with antiseptic and a bandage, making sure to leave the skin over the top intact. It acts as the body's own bandage to protect the tender skin underneath."

At our Toronto Foot Clinic, Academy Foot and Orthotic Clinics we deal with a lot of runners and the injuries associated with runners.  We also receive excellent results with the vast majority of foot conditions which we treat and we do it through conservative care when possible.  Anytime a patient can avoid drugs and medications and most importantly surgery, there are always better off.

If you or a loved one would like to heal naturally, then look no further than our Toronto foot clinic, Academy Foot and Orthotic Clinics.
