PODIATRIST SHARES HIS VIEWS ABOUT GOING BAREFOOT IN PUBLIC

Alireza Khosroabadi, DPM recently appeared (via Skype) on The Doctors TV Show to explain if going barefoot in public is good for your health or potentially harmful. He mentioned that public places are not recommended for barefoot walking because numerous bacteria and viruses can enter the skin and cause issues. However, adults and kids could benefit from walking barefoot around the house.

"Definitely when you are outside and you don’t know about the surfaces you are walking on, I would not recommend not wearing shoes, you need to be safe,"  says Dr.  Khosroabadi.
