A SURVEY CONDUCTED BY THE AMERICAN PODIATRIC MEDICAL ASSOCIATION SHOWED THAT 73%  OF U.S. WOMEN HAVE SHOE-RELATED FOOT PROBLEMS.

OHIO PODIATRIST, DR. CARLY ROBBINS STATES, " HIGH HEELS INCREASE THE PRESSURE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOT, CHANGE THE CENTER OF GRAVITY, AFFECT MOST OF YOUR JOINTS - HIPS, BACK AND KNEES.  THEY CAUSE A RISK OF HAVING ANKLE SPRAINS, ESPECIALLY IN OHIO ICE AND SNOW.  A LOT OF WOMEN WILL LOSE THE FAT PAD ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FEET.  LESS FAT CAN BE MORE PAINFUL.  OVER TIME, WOMEN MIGHT DEVELOP ARTHRITIS OR HAMMERTOES -- WHICH CAN ALSO MAKE (HIGH HEELS) MORE PAINFUL."

ACADEMY FOOT AND ORTHOTIC CLINICS DOES NOT RECOMMEND HIGH HEELS AT ANY TIME.  WE KNOW THAT WOMEN WILL WEAR HIGH HEELS AT TIMES BUT THE HEEL HIGHT SHOULD NEVER EXCEED 2 INCHES IN HEIGHT AND SHOULD BE WORN FOR A LITTLE AMOUNT OF TIME POSSIBLE.
