MARZ AND JOHN'S NEPHEW, MIKE STARTED SKATING ON OUR RINK THAT WE HAVE IN OUR BACKYARD WHICH IS 100 FEET X 40 FEET LAST YEAR.  HE NEVER PLAYED HOCKEY BEFORE.  WE SENT HIM TO HOCKEY SCHOOL WITH DENNIS MARUK, HALL OF FAME PLAYER FOR 2 WEEKS LAST SUMMER.  HE STARTED HOCKEY LAST FALL AND BECAME THE LEAGUES LEADING SCORER.  UNBELIEVABLE!  WAS IN A TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND AND SCORED 60% OF THE GOALS. (13 GOALS, 3 ASSISTS).  WAY TO GO MIKE.  MUST BE THE CUSTOM ORTHOTICS IN HIS SKATES.  UNFORTUNATELY OUR RINK WAS A DUD THIS YEAR.  LAST YEAR WE HAD 18 INCHES IF ICE ON APRIL 1.  ANYWAYS,  ALWAYS NEXT YEAR.  WE JUST BOUGHT MIKE A NEW PAIR OF ROLLERBLADES SO HE CAN SKATE ALL YEAR ROUND.  THIS BLOG WAS BROUGHT TO YOU BY MIKE'S FOOT DOCTOR AND AUNT, MARZ

JUST A REMINDER, MOST FOOT SPECIALISTS, INCLUDING FOOT DOCTORS, PODIATRISTS AND CHIROPODISTS AGREE THAT ORTHOTICS SHOUD BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.  THEY ARE ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT IN SKI BOOTS, SKATES AND ROLLERBLADES WHERE YOUR FOOT IS TIGHTLY TIED DOWN IN THE BOOT.  IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FOUNDATION IN THE BOOT TO SUPPORT YOUR FOOT IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION , YOUR FOOT'S ARCH WILL COLLAPSE AND THE TRANSFER OF POWER FROM THE FOOT TO THE SKATE OR SKI BOOT WILL BE COMPROMISED
