  • CA PODIATRIST STATES THAT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM RUNNERS HAVE IS THAT THEY DO TOO MUCH, TOO FAST

CALIFORNIA PODIATRIST, DR. GENNADY KOLODENKER STATES, "THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS, RUNNERS TRY TO DO TOO MUCH TOO FAST.  IF SOMEBODY WANTS TO START RUNNING FOR EXERCISE, YOU REALLY DON'T NEED TO DO IT MORE THAN 20-30 MINUTES A DAY, TWO TO THREE TIMES A WEEK.  IF THEY ENJOY RUNNING THEN THEY CAN BUILD UP THE MILE."

PODIATRIST KOLODENKER STATES, "IT'S MORE IMPORTANT TO STRETCH AFTER A RUN THAN BEFORE, THOUGH A GOOD WARM-UP IS IMPORTANT.  WALK FOR 10 MINUTES, THEN WORK YOUR WAY UP TO A SLOW JOG."

MY WIFE MARZ, LOVES TO JOG.  MANY TIMES SHE RUNS HOME FROM THE OFFICE WHICH IS 11 MILES OR FROM OUR CLINIC TO ONTARIO PLACE WHERE WE KEEP OUR BOAT IN THE SUMMER.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY DR. JOHN A. HARDY, OWNER OF ACADEMY FOOT AND ORTHOTIC CLINICS.
